Current Affairs 2010: Useful for Exam Preparation

There has been much technological advancement in the educational field in the recent times. The students have deviated from the rote learning they were subjected to earlier. One has to be aware in every field not just confine to textbooks. The most important thing is having awareness about the current affairs. Any interview or question paper consists of questions relating to current affairs. One has to make sure having general knowledge should be a major portion of exam preparation.

In order to get into any field or choose any career option, apart from educational qualification they check your awareness level. Almost all the question papers for MBA, Defense exams, UPSC exams, and other many important and reputed professions expect the candidate to be updated with the current affairs. Current affairs are the life line of civil services exams as one entire portion of the exam consists of general knowledge. Most importantly in the corporate world, if one has to strike a business deal, knowledge of the countries economic fluctuations is very important , also the relationship of our country with the neighboring countries. During exam preparation one should make sure that his area of specialization should also include the current affairs. Often, in question papers students are asked their views on certain ongoing politics; one has to be prepared for such questions which can not be possible without knowing about them.

  • Increasing terrorism led to the US commission making a list of terrorist from AL-Qaeda group, listing some of they are dead. It’s re-checking the number of terrorist who are actually dead.
  • China was surveyed having the slowest rate of economic growth in the year 2010. Its industrial growth has also stagnated due to inflation for almost two years which has made people think that India is going to be the next superpower economically considering the marvelous growth in economic sector in the pas two years.
  • Leslie Nielson, famous actor of the naked gun series of movies died due to pneumonia.
  • After facing many years of military rule, democratic polls were held in Mynamar which turned out to be a charade. Parties accused each other of fake votes.
  • President Barack Obama has stated as giving full support to help Pakistan in stopping terrorist activities. As Pakistan has been the victim of many international attacks in recent years.


Above is some current affairs in 2010. The youth needs to be aware and be updated with the happenings around, this would help them in exam preparation of various exams as the question papers usually focus on general knowledge apart from academic questions.
