In Madhya Pradesh, due to extreme cold and frost, the pulses, fruits and vegetables have been destroyed. This has led to suicide of 7 farmers, worrying the Government. Extreme cold has led to hampering the growth of chana and wheat in Madhya Pradesh.
• By Surprising everyone, the Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan went on fasting, stating that he is facing discrimination by the UPA-led central government. He mentioned that the central government was not taking any action against the legitimate rights of Madhya Pradesh, by not providing compensation to the farmers.
• Madhya Pradesh tops the list of wickedness and cruelty inflicted on the Schedule Tribes. Jamshedpur, national commission for Schedule Tribe will take steps to reduce such atrocities inflicted upon them.
